Welcome back!
There are 6 positions. You will figure out which you like best over time. It is very important to know where they play and what they do. This will help you to work better as a team.
Goalie: Plays in the net and is responsible to stop shots.
Right Defense: Right side of defensive zone deep.
Center: Center of defensive zone. All over.
Left Wing: Left side of defensive zone shallow.
Right Wing: Right side of defensive zone shallow.
Notice the zones overlap. Try not to stray out of your area. There are exceptions to this rule but we aren't there yet.
When the other team has the puck, everyone is defending.We do this by making their life difficult (getting in the way, pushing them to the outside and breaking up the play).
